It's been a long time since I blog. Life is still pretty much the same except that I have changed my job (again?) Haha. Missing my ex-colleagues already, heard they recruited alot of new people. My current work is the area that I want to go into (I think so), just trying out to see if it is really what I want. Turned 25 just last month, so I must really think for my future, cannot hang around too much. Just want a stable job and simple life. Nel's sister had just given birth to a lovely baby boy..so cute! Had his pictures in my handphone..think I do like babies but it's not easy taking care of them though.

I have already decided to enrol into the driving course next year..most likely I will take up the auto driving instead of manual. Haha becos I'm too lazy to change gear every now and then. Going to spend money again after my degree course. And I want to do more exercise..yoga, running, cycling, etc etc etc. Cause think my tummy is growing bigger, so are my thighs. Sigh!

Yesterday went with Vinna and rest of NTU gals to LV and she bought a new LV bag...pretty, matches her alot. Maybe one day I should get one too, haha but think I can't bear to buy it or use it. No money ah, never enough. And we actually met Wee How outside LV, such a coincidence right. Took a picture with him, we gals behaved like we just saw Andy Lau, hahaha!

Okay, go to go now... Update my quiet blog again next time! Tata, take care everyone! =)

Happy 42nd Birthday Singapore!

I had just watched the live telecast on TV. I was like "Wow! Wow! Wow!" This year's celebrations were more exciting, memorable & meaningful than the past years'. Maybe because of the venue - Marina Bay. It's always more romantic to be near the waters...hee~ I like the water displays, fireworks & I think this year's stage performance were more entertaining than before. I like to see those fire fire fire displays! - Think its the segment by the SOKA or Mayflower Sec School. The "SING" character - the guy who roller bladed around the stage fell while trying to jump & stand on the edge of the slope of the platform. oh....but Never mind guy, at least I think you look great on tv. Heard the 3 of them were actually "hunted" on the street or somewhere by the organizers. There were kites with neon lights flying around too. It must be tough to control them as all of the kites looked the same, let me wonder how they know which kite belongs to them?

Not forgetting all the singers, esp the high-note singers...Their version of the "Will You" is great! And I love Kit Chan - She is the best! There's no place I'd rather be

1st day

We took the FreeGo coach bus frm airport to hotel but need to change to another mini bus on the way.. The mini bus driver was too "gan ho" man! drove like he's rushing for duno wat..fast n violent man..n when we first saw him, he was sitting on his chair with his legs up on the table, smoking away, like an old "ah beng". Felt so lucky tat we survived the journey to hotel.

Checked into our hotel at ard 8pm...TS Hotel..wow, turned out to be quite nice (chosen by our nelson which had done quite abit of research)only a few mins walk from ximending mrt..Big room, comfy bed, flat screen tv (with more than 100 channels), not to mention the wonderful bathtub n big shower head

tao yuan beef~ noodles...our 1st meal in TAIPEI, not so bad but abit too oily though..we had a hard time looking for this famous stall. cos its night time, everywhere was quite dark den u couldnt really see the road signs unless you are right in front of it. ironically, the road signs all face the traffic & not the pedestrians

after our noodles, we headed down to hua xi night market with many restaurants serving snake & turtle soup, well-known to be very good 4 health. Crowded even though its a wednesday

wow, this game is so popular in taipei, you can see them at almost every night market..they call it "dan zhu", it means bullet. It is like our pinball game that we always play on computer or psp, etc. But they acutally have the machines there. All the gamers there are experts, they can win hundreds & hundreds of pinballs..to exchange for soft toys. We were almost addicted too, had fun!

Day 2

Had our simple breakfast at the hotel. You can choose between American breakfast such as toast bread with egg & sausages or Chinese porridge with vege, eggs & chicken etc.

Our first stop for the day was National Palace Museum where they kept all the ancient chinese dynasty treasures. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed so not much pictures to show except those we took outside the museum. Later on, we took mrt to danshui old st --> bali --> fisherman's wharf. Then rushed to hot spring & finally Shilin night market for dinner. whole day we were rushing here & there, asking for directions..luckily the locals were quite helpful & friendly so we managed to get around.

must try the agei if u visit taiwan, simply love it. it's actually fried tofu skin stuffed with spiced vermicelli noodles with fish paste. another dish to try is their fish balls, simple yet delicious

Tall ice-cream..wasn't creamy enough..haha, nel's shirt was stained by the strawberries. It was so hot that the syrup from the strawberries melted while he was eating them. We bought some iron eggs too.

sorry ah, really hot (at least 35 0C) & i had to use an umbrella there. Not sure if you notice that singapore gals seldom use umbrella even when it's super sunny. But in taiwan it is quite a common sight..I kanna sun burnt when i don't carry one.

famous oyster omelet...i find it ok but nel only ate the vege..their version is sweet but singapore's is salty. I prefer taiwan's version, hee~

this is also another famous delicacy - big chicken cutlet.. so big that many couldn't finish them & decided to feed the wild dogs. BUT the dogs just sniffed abit & walked away. Haha think the dogs there were sick of it already!!!! hahahahah!

Day 3

1. Half day tour to Northern Coast, Kee Lung & Yehliu

It's a mistake to engage a tour agency for this half day tour.. Just brought us to a temple, short visit to yehliu & tats it. Then brought us to some souvenir shop (expensive stuff there as usual). The tour guide was quite chatty but kept yawning on the way. 50 SGD for this kind of less than 4 hours tour is definitely not worth it.

3. on our way to the warehouse shopping area - Wufenpu..the clothings, bags & shoes were quite cheap (must bargain of cos) but ppl were hostile..one even said their jeans were designed by designers so if we are looking for cheap stuff, pls look elsewhere.. !!!!!! show attitude sia.. Longshan temple (too bright so eyes couldn't open, not my eyes small hor). we went ard searching for the sunmoonlake shop to buy the sun biscuits, think we spent at least an hr. den we got to know the branch has moved. so suay right

This is the famous hotpot in taiwan & i can tell you that this is my FAVOURITE! The beef with the spicy hot soup combination is awesome!!!! 4.5 out of 5 stars

oh my goodness!!! i din blog for 8 months!!! wat to do, im a lazy gal, and my darling pc always die on me...so frustrating.. right now finally i have e urge to add some photos...

i have officially left ntu... wonderful place becos of the gals.. i enjoyed after the "moving" period,think syiqin n mages will know why..haha..though oni been 2gether for oni 6 mths, but its like we known each other for long long time.. still missing you gals, crazy lunch times..toilet times.. and running ard scbe times..(doing work of cos). hopefully i can find nice colleagues like u all soon..

Today, we went to 扫墓 for our grandparents and ancestors..Wow, super hot sia... went to St Mary's,St Joseph and lim chu kang cemetery.. Got to meet up with cousins and catch up with them.. Looks like everyone is doing very well, tat's great! My cousins' bfs turned up too..haha, looks like good news are coming soon.

My bro and I were shopping around LOT1 when we saw this "Do not Litter" campaign whereby students have to design rubbish bins... wow great creativity and ideas there...show you guys some.... :)

Slept @ around 2am last night..now I'm feeling super duba tired n sleepy. Can't sleep cos thinking thru 1 of my quiz question. Cannot believe I got that question wrong! And many other stupid mistakes. I was thinking, since when I am so hardworking in my studies? Normally, I will bo chap 1.. Haha, getting older so gets more stubborn.

Having sore throat n mouth ulcer right now. Oh my gosh! Can I get any suay-er? I really have no life for quite some time already. Everyday after work, go home or go school. Boring... have to tahan again...long time din weigh myself le, wonder how much i weigh now... heavier or lighter? i feel quite bloated all e time..hope my bottom dun get bigger,wait kana suan by "ppl"..no choice la, think all OLs have e same problem as me (excuses).. think abt it, long time din exercise le.. say wan join alex go roller-blading, say oni la also nvr action 1..haha, east coast leh so far away. NOPE I MUST DO IT (someday)..

Wow,it's been a long time since I write something for my blog.. These days have been busy for me. Fell sick just 2 weeks ago. Had high fever for 4 days, can you believe it?! It was the worse fever i think. I can't eat anything, vomitted everything and had strong cravings for spicy ramen, seafood and curry....oh it was torturing. But with the daily care n concern from my mum, I had recovered. My sis n bro also offered me H2O to make me feel better. My bf came to visit me lor... But we still quarrelled during that period. Anyway, everything is okay for now..

Then right now, I am facing with tests and assignments. Sigh, sometimes wonder why I choose to study further. I mean it's stressing, gets up to ur nerves sometimes. And not to mention, the FEEs!!!! As if work is not stressful enuff, den still have to rush for class n prepare for tests and assignments during weekends. And furthermore, my results are deteriorating.. Dunno what's wrong with me. Give me some strength please... no energy liao

Sorry la, seems like I am complaining non-stop...need to vent it out somewhere ma. Anyway, I had watched Death note recently. Not a bad show..heard part 2 is coming soon, gonna watch it! Sis asked if I wan watch Phantom of the Opera..seriously I dunno how to watch these kind. I haven reply her la..cos now so many things to do, can't think of other things. Been crazy over korean dramas instead..Gong, Full House, Love story in Hardvard (has the vcd but no time to watch)..

Hopefully I can go to a holiday next year if I can graduate in time..Anywhere also can la.. Taiwan, Thailand, others(can't afford)..Bf's exams coming soon so he's also very very busy..sometimes argue..not easy being my bf and i think not easy being his gf too.. haha..anyway, hope he will do well and EAT MORE...hee~

Comd invited us to his farewell/retirement celebration chalet on 20 Sep 06. It was fun cos it's been long time since we met..haha,actually not that long,since we do meet up.. We didn't have the chance to talk much to Comd as he has many other guests to entertain. Then Shengyuan,Hanting,Emmelin,Veron(?) and many others like me gathered around and gossip and gossip,hahha.. You know what? I didnt even eat much,hahah busy talking away.Den CPT Chiang gave us a ride home supper cos me n him are so hungry! hee~

26 Sep 06: Comd's Change of Command(COC)...I'm so so so sad that I was not able to attend, I want to go back camp and have a look 1. And it's my ex-boss's important ceremony leh and I was not there. Got "scolded" by many lor. Even MAJ Chua said he veri disappointed with me. =(... But heard from shengyuan that Comd thanked both of us in his speech,wow so touching... I even missed his farewell video, hopefully can see it from shengyuan's powerful digi camera!!!!

Crocodile hunter dies :(

I can't believe it when my sis broke the news to me last night. CROCODILE HUNTER IS DEAD!!! He died after being stuck in the chest by the stingray while he was filming a documentary for kids. I mean, isn't life ironic? You will not die immediately cos of smoking but you can just die when crossing the road. He was not killed by crocodiles but by stingray????

Many of them said at least he died while doing what he loves to do. But I would rather he die growing old with his children, wife, family and friends....Terri and his 2 children must be real sad..they have always appeared on tv together and so happy. Just look at them...Steve Irwin is such a funny, real and natural guy! The world loves him. I hope his family is coping well and he will rest in peace.

If I have the chance to go Australia, I would like to visit Irwin's Australia Zoo!!!!

When You Divorce Me, Carry Me Out in Your Arms

On my wedding day, I carried my wife in my arms. The bridal car stopped in front of our one-room flat.

My buddies insisted thatI carry her out of the car in my arms. So I carried her into our home.She was then plump and shy.I was a strong and happy bridegroom.

This was the scene of ten years ago.

The following days were as simple as a cup of pure water: we had a kid, I went into business and tried to make moremoney.When the assets were steadily increasing, the affections between usseemed to ebb. She was a civil servant.

Every morning we left home togetherand got home almost at the same time.Our kid was studying in a boarding school.Our marriage life seemed to be enviably happy. But the calm life was more likely to be affected by unpredictable changes.

Dew came into my life.It was a sunny day. I stood on a spacious balcony.Dew hugged me from behind.My heart once again was immersed in herstream of love. This was the apartment I bought for her.

Dew said, You are the kind of man who best draws girls. Her words suddenly reminded me of my wife.When we just married, my wife said,Men like you, once successful, will be very attractive to girls.

Thinking of this, I became somewhat hesitant. I knew I had betrayedmy wife. But I couldn't help doing so.I moved Dew's hands aside and said, You go to select some furniture,O.K.? I 've got something to do in the company.

Obviously she was unhappy, because I had promised her to go and see withher.At the moment, the idea of divorce became clearer in my mind although itused to be something impossible to me.However, I found it rather difficult to tell my wife about it.

No matterhow mildly I mentioned it to her, she would be deeply hurt.Honestly, she was a good wife. Every evening she was busypreparing dinner. I was sitting in front of the TV. The dinner was ready soon.

Then we watched TV together.Or, I was lounging before the computer, visualizingDew's body. This was the means of my entertainment.One day I said to her in a slight joking way,suppose we divorce, what will you do?

She stared at me for a few seconds without a word.Apparently she believed that divorce was something too far away from her.I couldn' t imagine how she would react once shegot to know I was serious.When my wife went to my office, Dew had juststepped out.

Almost all the staff looked at my wife with a sympathetic eye andtried to hide something while talking with her.She seemed to have got some hint. She gently smiledat my subordinates. But I read some hurt in her eyes.Once again, Dew said to me, Divorce her, O.K.?Then we live together. I nodded. I knew I could not hesitate any more.

When my wife served the last dish, I held herhand. I 've got something totell you, I said.She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observedthe hurt in her eyes.Suddenly I didn' t know how to open my mouth.But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want to divorce.

I raised aserious topic calmly.She didn t seem to be much annoyed by mywords, instead she asked me softly, why? I'm serious.I avoided her question.This so-called answer turned her angry. She threw away the chopsticksand shouted at me, you are not a man!At that night, we didn t talk to each other. She wasweeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our
marriage.

But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer, because my hearthad gone to Dew.With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stakeof my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. I felt a pain in myheart. The woman who had been living ten years with me wouldbecome a stranger one day.But I could not take back what I had said.Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see.

To me her cry was actually a kind of release.The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeksseemed to be firmer and clearer.A late night, I came back home after entertainingmy clients. I saw her writing something at the table. I fell asleep fast.

When I woke up, I found she was still there. I turned over and was asleepagain.She brought up her divorce conditions: she didn twant anything from me, but I was supposed to give her one month's timebefore divorce, and in the month's time we must live as normal life aspossible.

Her reason was simple: our son would finish his summer vacationa month later and she didnt want him to see our marriage was broken.She passed me the agreement she drafted, andthen asked me, Do you still remember how I entered our bridal room on thewedding day?

This question suddenly brought back all thosewonderful memories to me.I nodded and said, I remember . You carried mein your arms , she continued, so, I have a requirement, that is, youcarry me out in your arms on the day when we divorce. From now tothe end of this month, you must carry me out from the bedroom to the doorevery morning.

I accepted with a smile. I knew she missed thosesweet days and wished to end her marriage with a romantic form.I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions.She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks shedoes, she has to face the result of divorce, she said scornfully. Her wordsmore or less made me feel uncomfortable.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact sincemy divorce intention was explicitly expressed. We even treated each otheras a stranger. So when I carried her out for the first day, we both appearedclumsy.Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms.His words brought me a sense of pain.

From the bedroom to the sittingroom, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. Sheclosed her eyes and said softly, Let us start from today, don t tell our son.I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door.She went to wait for bus, I drove to office.On the second day, both of us acted much moreeasily. She leaned on my chest. We were so close that I could smell thefragrance of her blouse.

I realized that I hadn' t looked at this intimate woman carefully for a longtime. I found she was not young any more. There were some fine wrinkles onher face.On the third day, she whispered to me, The outside garden is beingdemolished. Be careful when you pass there.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I seemed tofeel that we were still an intimate couple and I was holding mysweetheart in my arms. The visualization of Dew became more vague.On the fifth and sixth day, she kept reminding mesomething, such as, where she put the ironed shirts, I should be careful whilecooking, etc.I nodded. The sense of intimacy was even stronger.I didn t tell Dew about this.I felt it was easier to carry her.

Perhaps theeveryday workout made me stronger. I said to her, It seems not difficult tocarry you now.She was picking her dresses. I was waiting tocarry her out. She tried quite a few but could not find a suitable one. Thenshe sighed, All my dresses have grown fatter.I smiled. But I suddenly realized that it was because she was thinnerthat I could carry her more easily, not because I was stronger.

I knew she had buried all the bitterness in her heart. Again,I felt a sense of pain. Subconsciously I reached out a hand to touch herhead.Our son came in at the moment. Dad, it's time tocarry mum out. He said.To him, seeing his father carrying his mother outhad been an essential part of his life. She gestured our son to comecloser and hugged him tightly.I turned my face because I was afraid I would change my mind atthe last minute.

I held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, throughthe sitting room, to the hallway.Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally.I held her body tightly, as if we came back to our wedding day.But her much lighter weight made me sad.On the last day, when I held her in my arms I couldhardly move a step.Our son had gone to school. She said, Actually Ihope you will hold me in your arms until we are old.I held her tightly and said, Both you and I didn tnotice that our life was lack of such intimacy.

I jumped out of the car swiftly without locking thedoor. I was afraid any delay would make me change my decision. Iwalked upstairs. Dew opened the door.I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I won't divorce. I'mserious.She looked at me, astonished. The she touchedmy forehead. You got no fever. She said. I moved her hand off my head.Sorry, Dew, I said, I can only say sorry to you, I won t divorce.

Mymarriage life was boring probably because she and I didn t value thedetails of life, not because we didn t love each other any more. Now I understandthat since I carried her into the home, she gave birth to our child, I amsupposed to hold her until I am old. So I have to say sorry to you.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave mea loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairsand drove to the office.

When I passed the floral shop on the way, Iordered a bouquet for my wife which was her favourite. The salesgirl asked me to write the greeting words on the card. I smiled and wrote, I 'll carry you out every morning until we are old

Suzuki New Swift

Wow, these days I keep spotting the new Suzuki Swift on the roads.. I simply love it! It looks so damn CUTE, isn't it? The front is rounded (like a beetle, looks abit like mini too) It comes in black, white, blue, orange, red and grey. I saw 1 in pink before but can't find in any of the websites. Show u guys next time. How I wish I have a driving license now.... hee, tat day will come~ What do you all think of SWIFT?

Ladies n Gentlemen! I've finally edited my blog AGAIN. I don't know why the blogspot keep prompting me to log in every SINGLE link I've clicked, which I got so fed-up n I stop uploading. Today, I only managed to add a little border for this pic of me and NEL.....so ashamed of myself, i've forgotten all abt photoshop, my gosh! But nv mind, I'll do more fancy fancy things next time.
